If its winter or colder, wear warm clothing, you can even bring a blanket. For winter weather, there will be heating available as well. Hot water bottle optional.
No hoodies would be great, they get in the way when taking pictures of your braids. Just sweaters please if you can.

Its totally understandable and can be a traumatic experience. I know this very well from my client stories.
I offer my clients knotless braids which are a low tension way of braiding, it is completely different from box braids which can be rather tight in the wrong hands.
I also know how to reduce tension in cornrows from the starting point, so you don’t get a facelift. Everything is technique and know how to adjust and tweak styles for comfort.
I mainly help clients have a positive braiding experience.

Yes I will be working on K’road at the Komorebi Collective on Fridays late night and 1 Saturday every mid month.
There, I will provide premium shampoo and conditioning services for clients who need scalp and hair care, that addresses product and hard water build up or their individual needs.
Styles there will mainly be 3 hours or less. Which are short-term styles that last anywhere from 2-3 weeks. Its a great option if you need connivence and love to be pampered.

For knotless braids your actual hair length should be at least 7cm or longer. If your entire head is 7cm, there will have to be an extra charge, as it takes more work on my part to braid your short hair.
For stitch cornrows at least 16cm is a good start. If its 13-15cm which is on the short side, then the side cornrows is best. Especially for non afro textured clients. If you have afro textured hair, there is a bit of flexibility on required length for cornrows.
For specifically Knotless curls/waves, your hair length should be mid back or shorter.
For regular knotless braids. most hair lengths are fine. If your hair is very very long, an add-on fee for Xtra long will be needed.
Please measure the length of your hair in the front, sides and back with a ruler. Text me the lengths. Let me know if your hair is on the shorter side before you book.

This all depends on your braiders experience, technique and hair care knowledge.
Cornrows are short term 2-3 weeks
knotless braids are long term 4-8 weeks
Braids last a bit longer on afro hair types. You can read more about that in my blog.

YES YOU CAN!
and its a must to keep your scalp nice and healthy and smelling clean. Not shampooing for long periods of time is a big no no and can cause adverse reactions in the long run. removing yeast and bacteria from the scalp is very important.
Your wash days are not as frequent with braids in though. You can shampoo every week to week and half. I give you tips on how to do mini cleanses in between. Especially for people who exercise and sweat more often.
I also offer complimentary shampoo and scalp spray to keep your scalp and hair happy.

Yes braiding hair is soaked in vinegar, a few drops of tea tree oil and washed with gentle antibacterial soap, rinsed with water and hung in the sun to dry.
Even if you get a bit of itching because you may be the 1 out of 10 cases with an extremely sensitive scalp. There are ways to stop itching etc in its tracks. I will take care of you dont worry.

You should always do your fades and taper cuts before you come to get your braids done.
This is so I can see where I have to braid properly and your after pictures are great looking for the camera.
I dont mind if you got your taper fade 2 weeks ago..but if its been a month or more, please get it done. We also have 3 barbershops in Milford. So if you run out of time. You can go to them.
